WHAT IS THE HYPE ABOUT VIOLET, RED, GREEN BASED SOLUTIONS?
‘Unfortunately’… Nothing!
It is a misleading marketing ploy used by some spray tan companies to persuade you to purchase their solutions.
Tanning solution in is ‘raw’ form is in fact a colourless product.
The violet, red and green ‘bases’ refer to the colour guide / bronzer that you see when it is first applied.
This bronzer is purely for that ‘instant’ tan and is also added to the clear tanning solution as a visual aid during application (to see if there has been any missed areas on the skin during application.)
This cosmetic bronzer is simply washed off the body upon showering, and has NO bearing on the final semi-permanent spray tan.
TIP: Solutions which may market themselves as ‘Green Based’ for example, will likely be imported solutions which have started the natural process of turning green due to the long transit time from overseas and poor storage.
It is likely this marketing ploy was started to make this negative property (going green with old age) into a positive.
Note: (ROXTAN solutions are manufactured in house regularly for freshness).
So please… Don’t believe the Hype with regard to ‘bases’.
